Ray Milhem, Chairman and Director

Mr. Milhem has extensive industry leadership experience and a proven ability to build alliances across market segments and within the investment community. In addition to his role as Chairman and Director at AdvancedIO, he also holds the position of Chief Technology Officer for the Dubai Silicon Oasis Authority. Previously as the Vice President and General Manager of the Motorola Software Group, he managed several centers and led a team globally. Prior to Motorola, he held several Executive and Senior Management roles at Nokia, Cisco Systems, Extreme Networks, AFC (Tellabs), and AT&T. At Nokia, he was responsible for the Platforms team in the Security and Mobile Connectivity Group under Enterprise Solutions. While at Cisco Systems, Mr. Milhem was responsible for the Network Management Group. During his tenure at Cisco, he helped develop strategic alliances with HP, IBM, and several systems integrators. He also held senior management roles in Cisco's High-end Routing Group (GSR 12000) as well as their Broadband Business Unit. He has served as the Chairman of the Computer Society of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (IEEE). He is on the board of several US-based start-ups and is a member of the Board at COE College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Mr. Milhem holds a BSEE degree from the Florida Institute of Technology.

Ibrahim J. Gedeon, Director

As the Chief Technology Officer for TELUS Communications, Mr. Gedeon is responsible for technology strategy, wireline-wireless service and network convergence, enterprise applications, and network infrastructure evolution. Mr. Gedeon has 17 years experience in telecommunications engineering and research. At Nortel, he served as VP and Director of Data Network Engineering and Vice President of Internet Brand Management, where he was responsible for IP/MPLS/ATM standards, engineering, and market development. He was also appointed Nortel's Senior Vice President of Wireless Engineering in 2000, and led the global engineering team responsible for operations, sales support, and systems engineering. Mr. Gedeon has held numerous leadership roles at the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and has received several professional awards, including IEEE Canada's Outstanding Canadian Engineer Award. Mr. Gedeon has a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the American University of Beirut and a Masters' in Electronics Engineering from Carleton University.

Nabih A. Faris, Director

Mr. Faris brings a wealth of expertise in investment, corporate governance, and business management and growth to the AdvancedIO Board. For the past 25 years he has been the President and CEO of the Intergulf Group comprising the following privately held companies: Intergulf Development Group, which acquires and holds investment quality revenue property in Western Canada and develops multi-family condominium projects in Western Canada and Southern California; Intergulf Investments, which holds significant positions in senior and junior oil and gas companies; and Intergulf Commodities (Int'l), a trading company with activities concentrated in the Middle and Far East. Mr. Faris was a director of Renaissance Energy Ltd., a Toronto Stock Exchange listed company, from October 1983 to January 1986, and a director of Penn West Petroleum Ltd., another public company, from April 1988 until its conversion to a Trust in 2005. He was also a director of Equatorial Energy Inc and Result Energy Inc. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Alberta, is a former member of the Association of Professional Engineers, Geologists and Geophysicists of Alberta and is a member of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers.

Julian Elliott, Director

Mr. Elliott brings over 25 years of Silicon Valley experience in building entrepreneurial organizations and commercializing technology in emerging markets. His expertise encompasses systems, components, and software technologies in a variety of industries including I/O, storage, computing, and networking. He has served on the boards and advisory panels of several venture-funded companies. He was CEO of CoroSoft, an early-stage developer of server automation and virtualization technology, which was eventually acquired by BMC Software. As Executive Chairman of venture-funded Nexsil Communications, a communications processor start-up, he drove business planning and financing efforts, leading to a successful acquisition by a prominent I/O company. As Vice President and General Manager at HP/Agilent, Mr. Elliott founded the company's storage networking products business, which grew to be a highly profitable operating division of the company. Mr. Elliott holds a B.S. (Physics) degree from Georgia Institute of Technology and an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business.

Mohammad Darwish, President & CEO

Mr. Darwish has over 19 years of experience in business and technology innovation, and is responsible for the strategic vision, overall direction, and everyday operation of the company. Prior to launching AdvancedIO, he spent seven years with Spectrum Signal Processing as a senior member of the R&D team, where he helped bring products to market. He received a MASc Degree in Electrical & Computer Engineering from the University of British Columbia, and held a teaching position at the university from 1994 to 2002. He holds one patent and has been published in a number of industry journals.
