AdvancedIO® Systems Responds To Wikileaks
Vancouver, December 13, 2011 – AdvancedIO Systems was incorrectly listed by WikiLeaks as a company that enables governments to spy on their citizens. Several news agencies have mistakenly connected the company’s registration under the Canadian Controlled Goods Directorate (CGD) with spying activities.
AdvancedIO is a maker of 10 Gigabit Ethernet (10GE) PCI Express® (PCIe) and rugged XMC network interface cards (NICs) that use programmable FPGA technology to perform low latency processing. Today, our state-of-the-art products are used to rapidly move and process data in advanced radar, signal intelligence (SIGINT), and cyber security systems to help defend the nation against physical and cyber threats.
The Controlled Goods Program is legislated under the Defence Production Act, whose objective is to safeguard technologies and prevent them from being accessed by unauthorized persons. As well, AdvancedIO falls under Section 126.5 of the United States International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
AdvancedIO is a socially responsible company whose policies and security processes ensure full compliance with the Controlled Goods Regulations. We take the protection of our technology and intellectual property seriously.
